There's not much to say about this manga, it's the same thing as always, a collection of short stories. The main story is about a girl who had immense difficulty being herself in front of other people, but even so she manages to end up becoming friends with her teacher, this friendship ends up becoming something more after the 3 chapters. So, I find it very strange how in a set of three stories, where one is the “main” and the other two are one-shots, I always end up liking one of the one-shots more. Well, to be honest, this first story didn't really displease me, it, logically, seems a bit loose because it's very short, however, in relation to its synopsis itself, it's not that bad. I would definitely read a longer manga about this story, the teacher doesn't follow that classic stereotype of an older, intelligent and formal man, he's just a boy, just like her, and maybe that's why the age gap didn't bother me so much in this story, but I will always find these romances between teachers and students a bit bizarre. Extra 1: A girl meets the boy to whom she had declared herself through a letter, a letter responsible for her shameful and public rejection by that same boy. He, even though 2 years have passed, continues to mock her for this letter, repeating passages and passages to irritate her. It's inspiring, and it has a story that may touch everyone's heart. The story revolves around Jun and Shun (Shun is the girl, btw). I really found their names cute because it rhymes xD Anyway, the plot itself focuses on a teacher-student relationship which is forbidden. In the manga, Shun was developing feelings for Jun since he was the first one to notice what was Shun's real personality was. And that's where this 3 chaptered story starts. The story, for me seems uncommon because you never see a teacher-student relationship these days. Maybe developing a crush to your teacher. Anyway, this was surely a great story because some may even relate to the story. Chiba Kozue really did a good job on telling the story. The characters. Describing them, I think I would say that they're funny? Nah, they are those who deal with everyday situations. Since the setting is in a school, they deal with school activites. Anyway, describing Jun. Jun for me, is a happy-go-lucky teacher who loves manga and chocolates. Plus his two pet goldfish. Shun, on the other hand is popular among her classmates. 7th Period is a Secret is a short story consisting of three chapters. The last two chapters are one shots and are not related to main chapters. I started reading this with some expectations for it, but I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong though; for such a short manga, 7th Period is a Secret was actually quite good. The story is about a high school girl who was an outcast at her previous school. She transfers to a new school, determined to be popular, while hiding her true personality within her. She deceives all but her teacher, who shows her that living in such a state is degenerative, and thus teaches her to live as herself. The story was short and sweet, and for three chapters, 7th Period is a Secret was enjoyable. The two one shots focused on developing relationships between two different couples despite apparent difficulties. The characters, however, were the weak point of this manga. The mangaka relies on extremely typical personalities, personalities that are not only predictable, but are seen almost in any other boy-girl romance manga. In the two one shots, the boys and girls could've been secretly programmed machines designed to simulate a romantic relationship, and I wouldn't have noticed the difference. Their every action was extremely predictable and calculated, they didn't seem like real teens struggling through thick and thin to find love.
